From starting clubs in school to doing service projects about our passion topics, Billion Shines has created a variety of networks into helping underprivileged people around our community. Ever since we were little, our community and upbringing taught us to believe in equality. With having the same opportunities and equal, everyone has a chance to  grow and become a successful individual. When traveling to places such as rural India and countryside Peru, we have witnessed how our community is lacking new perspectives and opinions about equality. In order to make our world a better place, Billions Shines provides a platform to providing awareness about equality to all communities, and hopes to enlighten a billion people about the topics of healthcare, interfaith and the environment within the next decade. As Sikh girls, interfaith is an important topic to discuss upon. With the recent discrepancies upon religion, gender and culture, Billion Shines decided to take action and help our community understand the recent complications to uplift our world. By focusing on these aspects in equity, we are able to contribute to the world throughout our daily lives.
